Reflecting on Feedback

In the process of rewriting and correcting my rough draft I had a lot of feedback from peers. Most of the feedback that was returned back to me was not criticism it was more of a savor feedback. Majority of my peers kept it truthful and was very realistic about the fact that they did enjoy my paper. I only had one peer that really criticized my paper; it wasn’t really a big deal. After that the student did state that my story was good and also they added little grammar mistakes that I made. They also helped out with rewording or rephrasing sentences. My feedback also stated that my story was very realistic and not only I can compare to the individual in my story, but others can as well. I used a little of the criticism that I received, some I felt was useless and was just a waste of my class mates time. Like who really sits down and discriminates a person whole paper. It’s my paper and I’ll write it my way. If you don’t like it that’s your problem my purpose is to write stories that I like writing and to grab other peoples attention.

Reflecting on My Final Project

While composing my final project for my creative writing class it took a minute to figure out what I was going to write about. Not only did I brainstorm, but I also looked and read other books for helpful ideas and themes. Then it finally dawned on me that my own ideas are just as creative as any other author. So I brainstormed ideas and themes. I had even completed a narrative arc. I thought the narrative arc was going to be very confusing, but after learning what to do and reading it I finally had it. My story was a great accomplishment because a lot of my classmates agreed that it was in fact very genuine and original. Just by reading my final project anyone who knows me would know that I wrote it. My final project defines a lot about my character. I can be very divergent and also I can be solitary. My final project will become a legend in my writing history and it will be recognized.

Final Project Proposal

Trying to figure out my final project wasn’t hard like it was for others. I just automatically knew that I was going to create a short-short story. I did all the steps into creating a story or a poem. Like brainstorming and even writing themes. Instead of just using one of my brainstorm ideas or one of my themes I chose to use all of them. I accomplished four steps of my final project; Yes, not that many, but I’m managing to make it all work. I have nine more steps until my project if fully complete and ready to be turned in as a final draft. My reason for picking a short-short story was that I didn’t really want to spend a lot of my time on making a poem book. Even though if I had managed to take that task I would have completed my poem book and I do think that I would’ve had an A. I could’ve did a play, but chose not because plays take too long to finish and when you rush through it whose to tell that your play will be the best. When I’m engaging myself into doing something that I’m getting graded for I want to have the best project or the best paper. I am an over achiever and during the steps to complete this final project I will be calling out all of my peers. While completing certain steps I have learned how to use a narrative arc brainstorm. I have also learned that if I do come up with multiple ideas to use in my story I can use them. My story will be featured maybe online or even in local papers. I will make sure that if I do not get a B or higher on my project I will work harder to accomplish my goal of an A+.

Final Draft Self-Assessment

To be very honest with myself I think that my story deserves a B. I think that my fairytale deserves a B, because I didn’t really add a lot of symbolism into it. My whole point of creating a fairytale was to write it using symbolism consistently. By me not always writing using symbolism it made it harder for me to use symbolism. The most parts that I am proud of in my story are the beginning, middle, and end. I really enjoyed my story; I thought it was very natural, and different. As of peer editing, my peers also enjoyed my story as well. I got a lot of verbal likes among my story. Writing skills that need to be improved are using symbolism and unique writing techniques. In order to be a successful story teller I must complete all of the levels of becoming a brilliant writer. Hopefully in the near future I will be able to grade myself with an A. Until then I’ll continue writing different stories about life, fairytales, and the future.

Reflecting on Feedback

Reflecting on my first draft was very excruciating, but I managed to get through. Instead of editing my paper myself my teacher though that it was unique that we do peer editing. One of the students in my class edited my paper and thought that I had a very good paper despite the places that I need more practice in. Overall this student graded my paper with an A. Parts that the student felt that I need more work in were places like having an interesting topic, using evocative and robust words frequently, and using symbolism effectively. There two major parts that I definitely agreed with and one part that I totally disagreed with. I agreed with not having an interesting title and not using symbolism effectively. In order to be successful in writing my paper I have to come to an agreement to use these two skills perfectly. I disagreed with using evocative and robust words, because I did intend to use great vocabulary words in my paper.

Fairy Tale Proposal

Most people may view the world as being very chaotic and drama never seize. In my opinion life is very much like fire. One minute the world is a beautiful place to be and the next minute it’s like living in hell. While building up a fairy tale I hope to compare and contrast life and fire. Starting my story I will like to add characters maybe a family or maybe a posse. My story will start of with a family called “The Masons”; they are living very well now. By the end of the story “The Masons”, will lose everything including each other. In the beginning of the story “The Masons” are living the life that everybody wants to live, but they lose everything in a tragic fire. The fire not only burns bank account numbers and files, but also family members. In the end I hope to make a great story that will not only catch my readers eyes, but adults who are writing books that would hope to add some ideas like mine in their stories.

Reflecting on My Found Poem

I had experienced a bad headache while looking for words to create my found poem. It was very crucial and hard at first. After scanning a few more magazines it became less excruciating. I actually started to enjoy choosing words for my found poem. Putting the words into action was the hardest.

I definitely hated the fact that I had to use the exact same words that I had cut out of magazines to form a poem. I wanted to throw every piece of paper that I had seen in the garbage. I managed to put some use in a few of the words I had. After finishing my first twenty lines I was relieved that I was almost done. At the end of the day I had completed my first found poem and I excelled it in using more than thirty words, but more like fifty.

Creating My Nonsense Poem

From creating my nonsense poem I’ve learned many new things. Like new words, new ways to use new words, and a different way of writing poems. I also learned that my nonsense poem did not have to make sense. It did make perfect sense to me though. In creating my nonsense poem I have learned that it is okay to use words that you do not know.

My nonsense poem conveys things about street life and life period. Not only will my nonsense poem attract a person who does not like reading, but it will also attract someone who reads novels. My poem doesn’t really send off a message, it was just a project that I enjoyed writing. My words were indeed kind of hard to use in forming a poem. I some how managed to do otherwise.

Reflecting on the First Draft of My Short-Short Story

During my second draft I did fail to format my story correctly. My extension of my story was did meet the grading criteria. I haven’t yet chosen a nice title for my story quite yet, but I am planning to choose a title that will catch a reader’s eye who is interested in urban literature. The beginning of my story is very interesting it makes a person want to read more and more of the story. While writing this short-short story I tried to maintain in a high level of any juniors reading expectation for grammar, punctuation, and syntax.

My writing is very musical. The words are very touching and elaborated throughout the full story. I indeed need more practice using evocative and robust words. I also need more practice with figurative language. I have used a great amount of symbolism and imagery. In my opinion I think my writing style is very unique even though it can become more intriguing and different. I agree that my writing style is very much like my personality.

Reflecting on the First Draft of My Short-Short Story

This short story was indeed lively. I had no intentions of making this story truthful or great. Many teenage girls can engage themselves to this short story. As a lost soul in the world Analia must learn to survive on her own. She experiences many tragics, but not even the stormiest whether can hold this girl back.

In the near future I can include more evidence based upon the after math of the controversy. Also I can try not to think about what I am writing about. Writing what’s on the top of my mind is the best thing that I can do as a pre-writer. As a future writer I intend to focus more and more everyday teen life. There’s no secrets to hide about life.
