Alone
She sits alone in the middle of her room. Crying hysterically and blood is soaked in her shirt. She has no money, no family, and no friends. She was only sixteen when her life turned around. Her mother was a dope fiend and her dad was a convicted felon. She thought of her life as a broken vase. A victim of the streets her mom didn’t quite have the abilities to contribute towards being a good mother to her. She was a beautiful girl, her name was Analia, but everybody called her Lia. She was African American, Dominican, and Chinese. Her hair was jet black and stopped at the arch of her back. She had eyes the color of the Jamaican ocean which was cool blue. Her skin was the color of creamy coffee. Analia was indeed a very attractive young lady even though she had experienced things that her peers wouldn’t even attempt to ask her. She attended Morris High school located in Bronx, New York. She once was an over-achieving junior, but when she met Brandon Smith a senior and starting player on the basketball team things changed. Brandon sold drugs and had the type of attitude that wouldn’t even get him a square job. He didn’t even care for Analia, in actuality Brandon considered Lia to be loose change around his house. One day he came over to Lia’s house with a couple of his friends and told Analia that he wanted her to have sexual intercourse with these guys. If not he was going to take away the little pride she had and kill her. Analia knew what she was about to engage in, but she didn’t want Brandon to leave her after all he was all she had. After Brandon and his friends humiliated and tortured Lia she had no one to console her. Not only did she give Brandon her all, but she gave him her innocence. Known to be very bright and smart Analia fell off track in school and decided to drop out. After Brando left Lia’s house he was shot down doing a drive by. While her mother found twenty dollars she decided to give Analia ten, spend 75 cent on a newspaper, and the rest on her next hit. Joanne bought a newspaper at the local corner store sat down on an old ruined crate and began to read. She scanned across a title that read “Teenage girl found dead in Bronx, New York Complex”, as she skipped to the page Joanne had screamed aloud and started crying. It damaged her heart to see her only child in the news paper for a drug over dose. Many people may not understand the true meaning of having a purpose on earth. When you turn your life around for someone who you think loves you and really does not love you turn to different aspects of life. As for Analia she became just like her mother, instead of learning from her mother mistakes. She followed her mother and father’s road to redemption. In life you must learn to complete the good with the good and learn from the bad.
