Untouched Memory
The Masons lived a very rich and fabulous life. They had driven the most expensive cars and had the most exquisite taste of all. The Masons were a family that consisted of five: Quentin, Faith, Jeremih, Tiffany, and Brittany. Quentin was 39 years of old while Faith was 35. They met when they were only twelve years ago in the 7th grade. Both attended the best private schools that their parents could afford. They attended the same high school and finished with scholars. Quentin’s family was murdered on the night of his prom; he was so distraught that he didn’t even attend his graduation. Faith was there for him, she was not only his lover, but also his best friend. No one not even the police knew of Mr. and Mrs. Mason’s murder, but Quentin. Mr. Mason was a king pin of a car theft club. Don’t get him mixed up with anyone else; Mr. Mason only had his team steal nothing but the best of cars. Such as: Lamborghinis, Aston Martins, Bentleys, Ferraris, and even a couple of Maybachs.
On the night of the murder Mr. Mason and Mrs. Mason was just getting prepared to grant their son and soon to be daughter in law with a well spent gift. Mr. Mason spent so much time criticizing the gift as if it wouldn’t be perfect enough. Mrs. Mason convinced him that if it wasn’t they’d take it back and buy something more expensive or more appealing to both Quentin and Faith. Mrs. Mason had set up a candle lit dinner with a bath full of rose petals and some Dom Perignon to set the mood right.
Just before entering the Jacuzzi bath tub six masked men crashed through the door.
The mask men shot up Mr. and Mrs. Mason and left a note for young Quentin. “Dear Quentin, what happened tonight had to be done, your father had converted 100,000 of my business towards “Blow City”. I didn’t intend to do what was done, but I was ordered to kill both of your parents. This isn’t a grief note its more like a fuck you pay me note. I also heard that you were next coming into the game. If so watch your fucking back because money don’t love nobody and bullets don’t have names. So in consideration of your father Mr. Candy Man would like his 20 million when you get it. PS: Tell Faith I still think about her”.
The six mask murders ran sacked their King mansion and burnt it using lighter fluid and a match. Mr. and Mrs. Mason’s bodies had been burned to corpse by the time police and fire trucks came. When Quentin was notified he was boiling mad and Faith cried like a shower head. Mr. and Mrs. Mason were like a family to Faith. When she was in need of anything Mr. and Mrs. Mason was there to give her the world if she asked. Quentin went ballistic; he was so upset that he went into two seizures in one night. He couldn’t believe that someone had the audacity to kill his parents. He knew all along that it had to be someone that knew what type of lifestyle his father had lived. Quentin went through a very hard time, but managed to get through.
That happened twenty one years ago the year is 2015 and Quentin is 39 years old. Faith and Quentin have had three children one boy and twin girls. Quentin moved on from his past. There was no way in the world that he could continue a regular and stable life with Faith without moving on. Faith was a great wife to Quentin. She provided him with everything that he ever needed. Quentin now lived in Richton Park. His family resided in a mini mansion, because Quentin didn’t want the Federal Bureau of Investigations knowing about his income. It was true Quentin did take on the family business that got his father killed. Quentin was almost done with the ransom money. Sitting in his office located in a secret hiding place in his house he heard a knock at the door.
Standing at the door was his two daughters Brittany and Tiffany. They walked in calmly and asked Quentin if they could attend their football game after party. Knowing that both girls were very popular and captains of the cheerleading team Quentin couldn’t say no. Quentin knew that Brittany and Tiffany wanted more than just a yes on an event they wanted their credit cards for the weekend. Being the father that Quentin was he granted his daughters with their black cards and wished them a good evening. The girls left and Faith came in with a plate filled with Filet Migon, rice, broccoli and cheese, and strawberry pound cake. Quentin loved Faiths cooking; it was his second reason why he married her, and his first reason for not hiring a professional chief. Quentin and Faith spent the rest of the day spoiling each other with love and romance. Brittany and Tiffany were caught in traffic. They were trying to rush to the game to see their big brother Jeremih play. So they decided to take the expressway instead of the streets. Both Brittany and Tiffany noticed that it was a black car following them since they left their house.
Brittany and Tiffany finally made it to the game, but kept a close eye on the black Impala. Jeremih was in his 4th quarter of the game right before making a touchdown and breaking into half time. Jeremih went to go chat with his sisters when he noticed his uncle Manolo approach them. Jeremih was excited because his uncle Manolo was very popular and he had a great amount of money. Brittany and Tiffany smiled hard to show their sparkling teeth so that uncle Manolo could give them a grand or two. Jeremih walked up to Manolo and gave him some dap and a hug. Before releasing Manolo’s grip Manolo whispered in Jeremih’s ear and said “Tell my brother that blood is thicker than water, but in his case blood got over powered by water. I love you nephew, and don’t hold this against me, but my money comes before anything”. Instantly Jeremih knew what Manolo was talking about Jeremih struggled to get away from Manolo, but he couldn’t. Manolo shot Jeremih in his side and ran. The only thing ran through Jeremih’s head was that his father told him to stay away from Manolo. Brittany and Tiffany both started to scream. Tiffany reached for her phone to dial her dad’s number and tell him the news. When Quentin arrived Jeremih was losing a lot of blood, but was fighting for his life. Quentin was furious he knew that his son would make it, but the first thing that popped into Quentin’s mind was the note that his father left in his money safe. “Perfect and Ruined Life, Hurtful and Beautiful Fire”. Quentin didn’t really intend to kill his blood brother, but his blood brother just intended to kill his son.
Quentin called up “Blow City”, and they were heated like blazing fire. Somebody better yet, Manolo just tried to murder the king’s son. Word on the street was that people was out to get blasted. No matter who you were or who you rolled with Blow City wasn’t having them type of games rolling through the hood. Quentin made the shots and they ranged the bullets. Back at home Faith was feeling terribly wrong. She started to prepare dinner for her family, but the twins were kicking a little too much. She sat down to try to calm them down a little, but her woman intuition was telling her something wasn’t right. Faith went up to the master bedroom to retrieve her phone. When she finally made it to her room Manolo was waiting for her. Nobody really knew, but Manolo and Faith were like Bonnie and Clyde back in the day.
That was when they were 10 and 11; Quentin then took over every successful thing that Manolo called himself accomplishing. Manolo was furious that Quentin could take over their father’s empire and his one and only true love: Faith. Manolo was out to kill for Faith, but Faith disrespected him by marrying his brother and having children by him. Manolo was a conniving person, he didn’t care who you were or who you were soon to become. Just never come between his money and his business.
Back in the room Faith was terrified that Manolo had gotten into her home without the Alarm system going off. Just as Faith was about to speak, Manolo smacked Faith across her face with his hard cold steel piece. Faith pleaded for help; there was no help to come her son had been shot and the rest of her family was at the hospital with him. Manolo was just about to shoot his gun, when a tough breeze came through the master bedroom window. Waking him up out of his daze, Quentin realized that his life could have been sort of a dream or a fairytale if he would’ve married Faith Vasquez back in 1991. Quentin was terrified of his dream so bad that when he had awaken he reached for his gun, realizing it was a dream Quentin laughed it off nonchalantly. Getting up and entering into a huge entourage, Quentin realized that family was never in the picture for Quentin Mason. Quentin loved the fast life with his twin brother Manolo, his son Jeremih, and his sisters’ Brittany and Tiffany.
